Latest News from San Carlos Elms and Grove

The Residents at San Carlos Elms had so much fun on their Scenic Drive with Rest Stop at Coyote Point this passed weekend. Nellie, Madelaine, Gwenn, Gloria and Ashley had a great time.  They loved the walking trails and all the beautiful trees.  

It was just a week ago when we had the GI Virus going around the building. Now that is has passed it is time to celebrate!!! We were lucky to have Conrad come in a celebrate this wonderful news with us.  Residents had fun becoming leprechauns as they felt their luck had changed this week!

 This St. Patrick's Day our Memory Care Program had a wonderful party. Becky & Bob cheered for the great party.   Then we had most of our Residents enjoy being a Leprechaun for the day. Morjorianne,  Mary, Bob, Becky,  Merle, Frances, Ray, and  Ruth. Director of Activities, Kathleen and Leader of Memory Care Program, Ismary posed for the camera in the St. Patrick's Day outfits. Special Care Coordinator Ana enjoyed being a leprechaun too. Raquel & Rhea showed their St. Patrick's Day Spirit. The Residents had fun at their party. Enjoying their Ginger Ale and Sweets.  San Carlos Elms is doing it's best to keep the Residents spirits up during this St. Patrick's Day. It is not fun being quarantined at any time, but during this GI Virus we are providing all meals in the Residents apartments. Tulay, server and Lorily, Personal Care Attendant are helping with the room service trays. The staff are doing a great job preparing all the meals to be delivered to all the Residents.      Martin, Server is showing his spirit in the dining room.   Maribel, Health Service Director helped the staff deliver lunch. Lorily helped out a lot too.    Curley was making sure everyone had a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Each month the Residents challenge the Activity Department to a Wii bowling tournament. This month the Residents split with the Activity Department. We each one a game.   It was great to have George back in the line up. Always amazed by Joan's hook. Even some family members joined in on the fun. Rob, Bill's son was showing off his swing. We had an exciting day on March 2nd, as we watched this very large crane do it's thing!!    

We were so happy to have a group of local students perform for us this past weekend. They brightened our day, sharing their talent with us. We look forward to having them visit us again soon. Thank you again!!!
