San Carlos Elms Went Out to Lunch Today

Today was our first experience at Fortune House restaurant since it opened last month in San Carlos.
Wow, we were pleasantly surprised. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was delightful and the food was delicious.

Every Resident enjoyed their meal and said we are coming back to this restaurant again.
Thank you Fortune House for a lovely outing!

Little Petting Zoo Visits San Carlos Elms

We had a wonderful visit yesterday from our favorite petting zoo.
They brought their chickens, rabbits, turtle, goats, and even an alpaca.
The resident, their family, the staff and their family had a great time.
We enjoyed the animals and in the perfect weather too.
Dorothy is enjoying the rabbit.

Nellie is enjoying it too.

Regina likes rabbits.

Anne does too.

It was nice seeing so many family members come out for this visit.

Bobbe enjoyed watching the kids as much as the animals.

Caroline loved asking questions on all the different animals.

Bill was surprised that they all came in one van.

Renate was in heaven.

So was her husband Edmund.

Margo never wants to let go of the rabbit.

Carol loved seeing all the different kinds of animals.

We had a lot of people and animals. Luckily we had shade for the animals on this hot day.
Thank you Little Explores Petting Zoo for making it a memorable day!

San Carlos Elms Memory Care Program Enjoying Spring Break

San Carlos Elms loves Spring Break! We enjoyed  the extra volunteers we have during this time.
The high school students are a big help to staff and residents.
They all took special part in helping with the following activities:
Memories in the Making

Crafting

Catch

Socializing

One on One Reading

Puzzles

and many, many more.

We at San Carlos Elms are very grateful for all our volunteers during this Spring Break and any break the students may have during their busy school year.
You brighten up each resident's day while you are here.
Thank you!!!

San Carlos Elms Hopes All Your Easter Days Were Fun

We enjoyed a fun Easter at San Carlos Elms.
We had an enjoyable egg hunt Sunday afternoon. The Residents looked for eggs by the riddles left for them by the activity department. They won candy, tokens and many more fun prizes.
Barbara loved our newest addition this year.

So did Kathleen and Delores.

Margo wanted to find eggs with tokens.

Ruth wanted to find eggs with Bingo card coupons.

Nellie wanted to find all the eggs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
