Latest News from San Carlos Elms and Grove

This year we extended our annual Walk to End Alzheimer's to Silicon Valley, held at Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose. We wanted to make an impact outside of our tradition and reach more audiences. No matter where we go, we are here to support the Alzheimer's Association, and we had a great time doing it! 💜 We worked up an appetite by walking for three miles, and replenished at In-N-Out Burger 🍔🍟

 Our residents were fully focused and putting their word skills to test during a fun game of Scrabble!

Our residents absolutely love Therapeutic Gardening! They are always delighted to see Meghan and excited to discover what new and creative activity she has planned for them.  

 "Sapo" is a very popular game in South America and we recently introduced our residents to this fun activity. Everyone had a wonderful time playing, sharing laughs, and. enjoying some friendly competition.

 This is one of the activities that brings so much joy to our residents. They always enjoy Therapeutic Gardening with Meghan; spending time with plants, connecting with nature, and sharing wonderful moments together.

What a wonderful evening we had at the Night of Inspiration, supporting Suzie and her amazing team! It was a beautiful night filled with joy, inspiration, and a wonderful sense of community. 

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Mooncake Festival, at the Elms! Our residents received delicious mooncakes to enjoy as we celebrated this beautiful tradition of togetherness, gratitude, and sharing special moments with one another.

Our residents had a wonderful time at our the monthly special event! They enjoyed a selection of wines and ciders, along with delicious appetizer perfectly paired with each drink. But the best part of all was the laughter, great conversations, and fun they shared together. Cheers to another memorable evening at the Elms!

What a nice way to enjoy a football game, accompanied by a delicious root beer float!  

 Before the cold weather arrive, let's enjoy one more delicious frozen yogurt treat!
