San Carlos Elms Enjoys at The Walt Disney Museum

What an incredible day we had in San Francisco's Presidio! The weather couldn't have been nicer and The Walt Disney Museum was a treasure to explore.

We had a terrific tour guide Jeffery who told us everything we need to know about Walt Disney.

After our tour Don Thanked Jeffery for "One Heck of a tour". Jeffery was great to accommodate our needs which during this tour was a bench from time to time, and there was plenty.

We brought our own food from The Elms and ate lunch at the museum.

For our finale, we saw "Sleeping Beauty" in the Disney theater at the museum.
It was a long, but wonderful day.
Thank you to ALL the staff at the museum for making just right.

Dorothy gave her to snaps up approval.

Shirley put it into a song.

Lida might have a scarf for you the next time you visit.

From all the Residents and Staff here at San Carlos Elms we thank you.
Volunteers would be the same with out "U"!

San Carlos Elms Attends the 38th Production of the Chicken's Ball

This large group of Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon out yesterday at Central Middle School for the Chicken's Ball, a variety show put on by most of the schools in San Carlos. It is the PTA's  biggest fundraiser that they have been putting on every two years since 1940.
We were happy to participate with our cheering for the good guys, booing for the villains and clapping along to the fabulous music.
Thank you for putting on another wonderful performance.

Thank you to Sandi for passing out Roses to all of our Residents prior to the show.

Rosemary and Henry had fun taking this picture out front.

Estelle and George did too.

San Carlos Elms Residents Enjoyed a Recital This Weekend

This weekend the Residents enjoyed a group of 21 children, their teacher, and their parents in our Resident Lounge and Recreation Room all to put on a Piano Recital just for them. The children all waited their turn while their classmates performed. If you happened to be walking by you thought professionals were visiting.
Thank you to all the pianist, the teacher; Deanna, and all the parents who came to have fun this wonderful afternoon.

Little Explore Petting Zoo visit's San Carlos Elms Today

We had such a wonderful afternoon here at San Carlos Elms today. We had the  Little Explore Petting Zoo visit us today and with them they brought goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, a turtle, lamb, and an alpaca.
I think the Residents petted every animal that they could. The staff was great they brought the animals to the Residents who did not want to go inside with the rest of the animals, but a few of our Residents enjoyed going in with all the animals.
Residents of San Carlos walking by The Elms enjoyed seeing the animals and the Residents enjoying themselves. We invited every on looker to come on up and enjoy themselves. We were so happy that the weather behaved itself today. The Residents are looking forward to having the Little Explore Petting Zoo back.
