We had a great time today playing blackjack as we always do every other Tuesday afternoon.

San Carlos Elms Memory Program Taking Advantage of a Beautiful Day

The Grove our Memory Program had a great afternoon in the sun. Reading poetry, singing and blowing bubbles.

Lunch Outing with the Residents at San Carlos Elms

Every month we go out to lunch. The Residents make some suggestions on where they would like to go and this month it was Johnny Rockets. We had a great time!

San Carlos Elms attends the San Carlos State of the City with Andy Klien at The Aviation Museum

This was a wonderful evening of History 101 in San Carlos given by Mayor Andy Klein. And The table tops of everything else going on in our community. Volunteer opportunities, San Carlos Fire Department along with the San Mateo County Office giving Citizens Academy course and more.

We enjoyed listening to the Mayors speech I loved how he compared how when he was younger he compared politics to the movies "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington" and "The American President".

June and Kathleen fielding questions about The Elms and what we are all about. We had a fun time.

New Downtown San Carlos Elms

Welcome to Downtown San Carlos Elms where you can find just about everything you are looking for.

The Elms Little Market where you can purchase everything from toiletries to birthday cards for your friends.

We also have ice cream and sodas available.

The Resident Lounge, this is where you can grab a cup of coffee or tea, a magazine or a paper. You can also grab a friend and have a great time playing games in this room.

Awe, The Recreation Room where we watch our movies and we do all our exercising. We also do all our music and big socials in this room.

Last, but certainly not least is the Library where you can check out any books or DVD's on the honor system.

Mardi Gras at San Carlos Elms

We had a fun day posing as a jester for the day. We wish we could all still jump up like that. The staff along with the residents had fun taking pictures and later in the day listening to Conrad on Guitar. He is such a delight all the residents enjoy his music.

Happy Valentine's Day from San Carlos Elms

We had a lovely Valentine's Day at San Carlos Elms. We had live music, a great party that lasted till dinner time and dancing.

Fran, Hank, Elly and Grace enjoyed the sodas and each others company this Valentine Day.

Dean, Stella, Caroline and Marilyn couldn't get enough to drink they loved the ginger-ale and 7up.

Carolyn, Irene, Marguerite, and Bernella had a wonderful time listening to the music, however Irene showed everyone she still has moves when she did the Macarena for everyone.

San Carlos Elms receives a visit from Central Middle School

We had another great visit with the students from Central Middle School. They read stories, socialized with the residents and before they left they showed their dancing skills by doing the Macarena. Some of the residents joined in and some did the moves from their seats. It was a fun afternoon.
