What a Busy Week Our Residents Had

Arroyo School Visit
The 5th grade students from Arroyo School came in with a wonderful program!
They sang for our Residents.
 Played piano.

  Even a Cellist.

After their performance the students interview our Residents.
They are putting together a newspaper for our Residents for the end of year school project.

Bob at 102 felt like a celebrity.

Gordon had fun talking to the students and was fascinated how quickly the students talked.

Nellie always has fun talking to students.

Burt was so relaxed telling his story to his student interviewers.

Elsa was all smiles during her interview.

Mind Exercise Games
Our Residents enjoy learning and trying new games.
We have tried Jenga before, but Extreme Jenga is a whole new level of difficulty.

Peggy's level of concentration was so fun to watch.

Marcella didn't want it to fall over.

Wii Bowling
We still have a great group of Wii bowlers and their fans who love to cheer them on.
 Strike for Helen!!!

Current Events
With all the news going on in the world today it is wonderful to have our volunteer Carol visit weekly to keep us all up on the news that is most important to us.
We all appreciate how she always ends with a funny story to keep us smiling.
Thank you Carol!!!

Memorial Day
Our house dog, Curley posed for a day of remembrance for all of our Residents who served to protect our country.
Each of our Residents received a poppy from American Legion Auxiliary.

Classical Performance
Nancy is wonderful about setting up musical visits and sharing their talent with our Residents.

We had violins, fiddles and cellist.

Shopping Outing
Kathleen and Ashley make sure that the Residents will be able to spot them on our trip to Target.
After our trip the Residents were happy with their purchases and happy to be going home.

San Carlos Children Theater
Our Residents were so happy to see youngsters showcase their performance from San Carlos Children Theater.
They had production of the Lion King.
And they had a production of the Little Mermaid.
Thank you to all of our volunteers!!!
You are what makes our community so wonderful!

Happy Passover

Thank you to our friends from Jewish Family and Children's service. They provided Passover goodie bags for each of our Jewish residents.
