This was a wonderful evening of History 101 in San Carlos given by Mayor Andy Klein. And The table tops of everything else going on in our community. Volunteer opportunities, San Carlos Fire Department along with the San Mateo County Office giving Citizens Academy course and more.
We enjoyed listening to the Mayors speech I loved how he compared how when he was younger he compared politics to the movies "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington" and "The American President".

We had a fun day posing as a jester for the day. We wish we could all still jump up like that. The staff along with the residents had fun taking pictures and later in the day listening to Conrad on Guitar. He is such a delight all the residents enjoy his music.

We had another great visit with the students from Central Middle School. They read stories, socialized with the residents and before they left they showed their dancing skills by doing the Macarena. Some of the residents joined in and some did the moves from their seats. It was a fun afternoon.
Happy 1ooth Birthday to the prettiest lady in the building today. Congratulations Claire and Thank you for dedication to The Elms especially the Memory Program, for bringing a little bit of music into their lives once a week. We Love you for that and Thank you!!!

Howard visits The Elms once a month to perform on the piano. He Performs for our residents in our Assistant Living community.Then, Howard goes to our Memory Care Program, "The Grove" to perform for our residents there. They enjoy his music and his voice. Thank you Howard!
Central Middle School came to visit us the other day and we are looking forward to their next visit next week. We spread out in the Library, Resident Lounge and Lobby to make sure all the residents could here the stories being read to them. Thank you Central Middle School.
Ruby enjoyed her company from the boys from Central she can't wait to see them again on February 10th.

A.J. had fun showing Henry how to work an IPad. Henry enjoyed James company and reading. When the boys left he said nobody has ever said he was awesome before.
