Nutrition Visit Today at San Carlos Elms

Audrey Nickell RND, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist visit's San Carlos Elms to make sure we are providing our residents with quality food.
Today after she checked with the kitchen she spent some time with our residents. Audrey brought spices to show how they are not just good for the body, but good for the mind, they recall memories.
She took 7 spices and passed them around the room having the residents try to guess the spice they were smelling. It was an educational afternoon.
Thank you Audrey, look forward to having you again.

Audrey also brought in her family cookbooks from 1895 and 1950. Are resident we happy to say they could only recall the 1950's, they all laughed.

Roy Cloud School Performs for San Carlos Elms

Roy Cloud School is putting on a production of Beauty and The Beast on November 22-23 at 7pm and November 24th at 2pm, if they perform like they did today for us, you would be silly not to see the show. They performed six songs for our residents today, who were all amazed that they were only listening to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. It was a wonderful snipped of what a fantastic production Roy Cloud School is going to be presenting. Good Luck and break a leg!!! Thank you all for coming today.

Thank you Roy Cloud School for sharing your gift of song with us. Thank you to all the parents that help drive and set this up.

Let's see What The Memory Program Did For Halloween at San Carlos Elms

The Memory Care Program had special visitors this year from The Children's Place. They all came in costume, sang some songs and then put some puzzles together with the residents. They all had a great time. Just check out the pictures.

After the kids left it was time to PARTY! Some of the residents dressed up, while others just wanted to indulge in the sweets of the party.
