The Mayor of San Carlos Visits The Elms
Mayor Cameron Johnson had a great turn out today.
The Residents had a treat today, Mayor Johnson gave his State of the City address to the Residents today.
The Residents were able to here just how awesome it is to live in San Carlos.

Random Acts of Flowers Visits San Carlos Elms
The Residents enjoyed a special treat the other day. Random Acts of Flowers came and delivered a bouquet of flowers to each of our 89 apartments and brightened the day of each of our Residents.
Random Acts of Flowers recycles and repurposes flowers by engaging
dedicated volunteer teams to deliver beautiful bouquets and moments of
kindness to individuals in healthcare facilities across the country.
Below are just a few of the moments we caught on camera.
Mabel was so happy to see them come in the building and the volunteers were happy to set aside her favorite flowers.
Ann was touched by her bouquet.
Karen was excited about her flowers.
Evelyn was delighted with the surprise.
Vija was in shock.
Renate & Edmund thought it was a very sweet jester.
Mimi was happy to see flowers in her apartment and not just outside her window.

Little Explorers Petting Zoo Visits San Carlos Elms
The Little Explorers Petting Zoo was a great success in our Memory Program this week!
Residents love to play and pet all the animals. We had visiting rabbits, ducks, and chickens.
The Residents in The Elms assistant living went up to enjoy the animals too.
Dennis is all smiles with his rabbit.
Karen is enjoying a tender moment with her rabbit.
Mary loves how soft her bunny is.
Dean didn't want to give her bunny back.
The staff did a great job protecting the floor so the animals would feel at home.

San Carlos Elms Welcomes Rabbi Corey Helfand
Rabbi Corey visited our community today, to educate our Residents on the Jewish holiday of Purim. Purim is the holiday that
commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian
Empire from destruction in the wake of a plot by Haman. This story was recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther (Megillat Esther). Purim is known as one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar.
One of our Resident's daughters brought cookies to celebrate this holiday.

San Carlos Elms Attends the Ribbon Cutting of the Adult Community Center Remodel
The Elms was proud to attend the Grand Re-Opening & Ribbon Cutting this morning at The Adult Community Center.
The renovation took several months, but well worth the wait.
A large group of Recreation Department, San Carlos Council Members, Sheriff Department, Fire Department, and many residents of the community were present today as the A.C.C. was re-opened.
The Adult Community Center is absolutely beautiful, see some pictures below.

Mayor Cameron Johnson was very proud to say a few words. The Mayor also let everyone know he is donating his next paycheck to the "Friends of the A.C.C." Wow what a great present!!!
The City Manager talked about the remodel and the team that handled all the work.
The outside patio with all new furniture and fence.
The old Billiard Room is going to be great for ballroom and other dance classes.
Everyone was having fun posing with walls of mirrors.
The Fitness room has everything you would need to get in shape.
Everyone was enjoying the live music, food and tours going around the new A.C.C.

San Carlos Elms Wishing You a Happy St. Patrick's Day
We had such a fun St. Patrick's Day here at San Carlos Elms.
This morning at Morning Stretch all the Residents in attendance learned the first Irish Jig.
Then, this afternoon we had a fun party with laughter, drinks, sweets, music and friends.
We also enjoyed seeing our Activity Director, Kathleen Irish Dance for us.

San Carlos Elms Memory Care Program Enjoys St. Patrick's Day

San Carlos Elms Attends the State of the City Address
Last night San Carlos Elms was a table sponsor of the State of the City address featuring the Mayor of San Carlos, Cameron Johnson.
It was held at Devils Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos, well
attended by Supervisors, Chamber Board, and Civic Members of San Carlos.
Mayor, Cameron Jonson made his address to a packed house. He discussed the
renovations being made throughout the city, to Industrial Blvd., Downtown, and new apartment buildings on El Camino. He talked about the ribbon cutting at The Adult Community Center Friday, March 18th at 10am.
Mayor Cameron Johnson talked about how Awesome it is to live in San Carlos.
We couldn't agree more.
