Happy Halloween

San Carlos Elms would like to wish all of you a Happy and Safe Halloween. Today we had Arroyo class visit us and sing Halloween songs and read poetry. Thank you Krista and your entire class for starting our Halloween off just right. Ashley, Activity Assistant worked hard on her potion for the party. Grace, Marcella, Kathleen and Joyce had fun at the party. House dog Curley even got dressed up for the occasion. He was happy to pose with Cindy for a picture. Shirley was the winner of guessing how many candies were in the pumpkin.   We had several winners at the costume contest. Helen, Pat, Marilyn, and Helen and daughter Paula! Thank you all for coming to the party it was a fun afternoon. Have a fun and safe Halloween Night!!!!

Conrad on Guitar Conrad visits our Residents monthly and we still can't believe the voice that comes out of his body. He is wonderful!!!      San Francisco Banjo Band   We love having live entertainment that we can sing along to.     Mayor Visit   Each month we are honored to have The Mayor of San Carlos talk to our Residents about what is going on in their city.     Goodie Bags   The Residents had so much fun making the goodie bags for our visitors next week on Halloween. Dania was a big help. Sue and Angelina were making sure all the goodies were in the bag. Helen enjoyed organizing the goodie items. It was a fantastic social with a lot of great helpers like, Gloria, Sue, Joyce and Emily.     Sizzler Outing Gwenn loved her jumbo shrimp. Alyce and Fred really enjoyed their steaks. Kathleen and Margie had a barrel of laughs at lunch today. ...

A Night of Inspiration

This weekend San Carlos Elms was happy to sponsor "A Night of Inspiration" hosted by One Life Wellness Center . It was a wonderful event to help   One Life Wellness Center continue their programs they provide for the community of San Carlos. They provide counseling for students, teens, mental awareness, and of course Music and Memory program here at San Carlos Elms. Domenico Winery  looked beautiful. They had a fun silent auction with great trips, art work and gift cards.   Suzie Hughes, Executive Director of One Life Wellness Center did a marvelous job keeping the night running smoothly. Kathleen, Activity Director at San Carlos Elms was honored to be one of the six inspirational speakers of the evening. Kelly, Kathleen and Suzie smiling for the camera. Little Explorers Petting Zoo Visit

San Carlos Elms Residents enjoyed a  visit from the Little Explorers Petting Zoo recently. Thank you Little Explorers Petting Zoo for always making this such a great day! Tish and Tom never miss a day with the petting zoo. Ruth was so happy to hold her new bunny friend. Marilyn had a fun time playing with the animals. Helen enjoyed being with the animals. Virginia had fun spending time with all the animals but,   really enjoyed feeding the pig! Thank you Little Explorers Petting Zoo , we look forward to your next visit.    

Care Indeed Lecture

Galena a representative from Care Indeed comes in regularly to discuss health topics with our Residents. This visit was geared on Staying Active. Galena and the Residents did a great job on making a "Wheel of Wellness". They highlighted the different categories on how to stay active. Thank you, Galena, for sharing your knowledge with our Residents and Families.

Redwood City Museum Outing

The Residents had a wonderful and educational trip to the Redwood City Museum . They loved standing in the middle of the rotunda.   It really is beautiful. They had so much fun playing with all the exhibits. Anna liked the inside of the hut. Helen loves to talk, so no surprise she found the phone's. Florence had fun with the phones too. They enjoyed posing in the court room. Anna tried her hand at some video games. Florence did too. Thank you Redwood City Museum !!!
