Latest News from San Carlos Elms and Grove

 

 With a couple of Jewish holidays this month we thought is would be a good idea to reach out to Rabbi Corey for a Zoom visit. We were so happy that he had the time to visit us on the first day of Autumn and between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Due to social distancing we had two groups meet at different times to enjoy Rabbi Corey's visit.     Thank you Rabbi Corey! We look forward to seeing you next time.

 The Residents enjoyed an afternoon of a cold Root Beer Float. Thanks to the Activity Department for delivering all of the floats the the Residents apartments.

 During this unique time, we have missed some of our favorite activities. One that we have continued during this time is our weekly prayers sent to us from Rev. Sue Ann from Spirit Care . This week we enjoyed even more. Rev. Sue Ann visited via Zoom for a prayer service. Our Residents who have been enjoying the weekly prayers were able to see her today and thank her for all her blessings during this time. Thank you Rev. Sue Ann and Spirit Care . We look forward to our next visit.

 Our Residents were excited to receive letters from Carlmont Key Club . Thank you so much Carlmont Key Club for sharing your experiences during this time. It reminds all of us that we are all in this together. Shirley loves anything fun. Joyce is all smiles with her letter. Connie enjoyed her letter.   We caught Nellie in the hallway with her letter.   Sam is always excited to hear what others are doing with their time right now.   John was intrigued with his letter. Gloria loves all the letters she receives. Gordon was happy to receive his letter. Alyce was all smiles when a student shared her love for cats. Thank you again Carlmont Key Club for sharing all of your stories with our Residents.
