Today we had a wonderful Holiday Party to kick of this Season. We had great food, music, and a photo booth . Please enjoy just a few of our captured moments on film. We had so much fun decorating our lovely tree for the Holiday Season. The Residents enjoyed cookies, eggnog, and plenty of holiday music. We all enjoyed sharing our favorite memories of decorating trees as children or with our families. Bernella will be 100 years young next month and she was so happy to help decorate the tree. Shirley and Helen are concentrating and searching for the perfect spot for their ornaments. Nellie found a spot for her ornament. Dolores thinks all the ornaments are beautiful. Tish help point out all the spots that needed an ornament. George helped too.   So did Faye. The group was so proud of their work they wanted a picture with their creation. Thank you all it was a fun afternoon.

102 Years ago today Lillian Renard was born. Today we celebrated her years of life with, Family, Staff, and Friends. We had a beautiful cake for Lillian. She was able to blow all the candles out the first try. Enjoyed her cards and presents. Cheers to another wonderful birthday celebration Lillian. Hope you had a great day!!!

In our Memory Program they stay active. Let's see... We have dancing, Arts & Crafts, Memory in the Making, (painting) Bingo, sing-a-longs, visiting volunteers, and Resident volunteers.

When Lindsay comes in with a craft, you better be ready to create and possibly get a little dirty. Today Lindsay painted bird houses with the Residents. They all had their own personality. Some had checkered roofs, while others painted flowers on them. Some were bright red, while others painted a light pink. Thank you Lindsay for always making your visits FUN!!!

Our house dog "Curley" is 10 years old this weekend. We had a birthday party for our special dog. Curley has volunteered his time here at San Carols Elms for the past eight years. The Residents can't get enough of him. He is the best medicine!!! Becky giving Curley a birthday squeeze. Dennis loves to go on afternoon walks with Curley. Curley blew out his own candles, ok maybe he had a little help. He didn't need any help eating it, he loves his whip cream. Happy Birthday Curley, Thank you for all you do for our Residents.

We had such a great time at Mimi's Café . Good food and great company! It is always fun to go out for lunch from time to time.   Alyce, Margie, Don and Grace had wonderful conversations. Reno & Betty's first lunch outing with the group. Thank you Mimi's Café for all your help!!!

This morning to celebrate our Resident Veterans we had a Veterans Day Ceremony. We sang patriotic songs, shared stories and took time to remember those Veterans who are no longer with us. Thank you to the American Legion Auxiliary  District 8, Unit 510 for making and donating poppy corsages for our Veteran spouses, flag pins with ribbon and poppies for everyone. Thank you to all our Veterans each and everyday! Grace waving her hand during the Armed Forces Melody, Army for her husband. Henry and Helen were sharing some of their memories after the ceremony was completed.   Each Resident received a program to follow along with the songs. They also enjoyed seeing who else served in their branch and possibly with them.
