San Carlos Elms Root Beer Float Social
Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed a hot afternoon by cooling down with a root beer float in hand.
We all enjoyed sharing our favorite stories of root beer float or what ever came to mind.
Thank you to the volunteers that helped, Ashley and Bob!!!
A Look Inside The Memory Program This Month
The Residents in our Memory Program sure do get a lot of exercise and have fun too.
We also make sure that we are hydrating .....
with root beer floats, and...
freshly squeezed lemon aide.
Senior Roundtable at San Carlos Elms
Thank you to all for attending the Senior Roundtable at San Carlos Elms yesterday. It is always great when we can have members and organizations of the community together to discuss how to make it better.
Thank you to Chris Rodriguez, Services Manager for Aging and Adult Services, for his insightful presentation. Chris oversees and manages the supportive and protective care services operations and budgets. Many different programs within including APS and probate Conservatorship investigations. He received his MSW from UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare and maintains a current License with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a clinical social worker. Thanks again Chris!
Thank you to the American Legion Auxiliary, District 8 Unit 510 for donating American Flags.
Hope to see you all again at our next Senior Roundtable!

San Carlos Elms Goes Out Dancing
The Elms group had a terrific time at the San Carlos Adult Community Center's Dance on Friday Night. The music by; Charlie Bulanti Quartet was wonderful! Even if we weren't on the dance floor that couldn't stop our feet from tapping. Everything was so much fun the only question we have is, when are we doing it again?
Thank you!
Carolyn had to get up for the final dance. She said next time she will be more prepared to dance!
San Carlos Staff Appreciation Day
At San Carlos Elms we appreciate our staff and all the hard work they put in, day in and day out. Through out the year we show our appreciation by giving them casual dress days and lunches, but once a year we have our staff BBQ with raffle prizes. It is the best time, because we get to meet with one another's families and share time together outside of work.
Thank you to Hallmark on Laurel St. for the donations. We were able to make a box for all our staff's children to go through and go home with something.

A Time to Dance in our Memory Program
There is always time to dance. Our staff loves to take time with the residents, share, and reminisce while the music is playing. It is always a fun day when music and dance are involved.

San Carlos Elms Goes to The Ball Game
We had a crackerjack time at the ball park yesterday cheering on @sfgiants our San Francisco Giants!!!
Henry, Rosemary, and Alyce brought their gamer faces.
Carolyn was so happy that the Giants game landed on her birthday. Happy Birthday Gamer Babe!
Jim taking in the ball park and the warm summer air.
We were able to get there early enough to watch batting practice.
Then enjoy the rest of the game with the rest of the 42,000+ fans that came to the game. Too bad the Giants didn't win, but their is always another game.
Thank you to all the Giants staff who made it such a great day for us. Especially Lee our usher in section 335. You started out our afternoon just perfectly!!!
