George on Guitar George started out as a volunteer at San Carlos Elms. We enjoy all of his performances. Doc Lamott on Music  We are lucky to have Doc Lamott come in every month with a new topic just for us.  This month it was a fascinating topic on love songs through the ages. Conrad on Guitar  The Residents look forward to hearing Conrad perform.  We all enjoy his voice, smooth tone. Cello Recital A local Cellist teacher, Kathleen brought in some of her students to perform for our Residents. We were honored to have them. Social Good Circle   Social Good Circle came to visit and craft with our Residents.  The Residents always have a good time meeting families in the community.  Students from Fusion Academy San Mateo , photo above made Valentines for our Residents. They handed them out during lunch time, day before Valentines.  Sue was delighted with her Valentine.  Gene loved his Valentine!  Jeanette and Ruth were all smiles. So were Peggy and Evelyn. The Residents were also surprised this morning with Valentines from Arbor Bay School too. Thank you to all of the students who brighten up our Residents Valentines Day. We had a lovely Valentines Day Party  Kathleen and Shirley pose for the camera.  Annabelle and Stewart posed too.  Florence, Joyce and Claire enjoyed the party.  Hershel and Sheila had a fun time.  Fina, Kathleen and John laughed and told stories. Al, Kirstin, and Dorothy gave the party an A++++! Thank you to everyone who attended and help with the party. Have a fantastic Valentines Day!!

San Carlos Elms was happy to attend the Gala for citizen's and businesses of San Carlos. The Chamber did a fantastic job! We were honored to be one of the sponsors for this wonderful event at Domenico Winery .  Tom Davis welcomed everyone and thanked all the sponsors of the evening.  San Carlos was happy to be among the sponsors.  Paula awarded the Chamber Member of the decade. Paula has volunteered in many activities at San Carlos Elms.   Domenico Winery received Business of the Year. They have sponsored many events for the City of San Carlos.  The evening ended with Susan Rose receiving Citizen of the Year. Mayor Ron Collins was one of several presenters for Susan.  Susan works at Arbor Bay School , we are honored to have her students volunteer at San Carlos Elms.   Congratulations to all of recipients of the night.  Entertainment We have a lot of talent that comes to perform for our Residents. Here are just a few.  George on guitar.  Scott on guitar.   San Fransisco Banjo always has a full room when they perform. Peninsula Multifaith Coalition Visit Peninsula Multifaith Coalition came and sang songs with the Residents.  They also brought beautiful flowers for everyone in attendance. Barbara was very grateful for their visit.  Jeannette was happy to spend time with them after their performance. Piano Recital ROPES Project   Savannah and Guiliana came to the Elms to share their ROPES project with our Residents.  They presented a yoga and healthy snacks, "play-date".  They shared some moves the Residents can use.  They shared some healthy snacks with the Residents too.
