Lucie was thrilled to see her family along with all her friends to celebrate her 100th birthday.
A Holocaust survivor, Lucie Elenberg Burak was born in Forst, Germany, and was part of the kindertransport orphan program. The Jewish community sent her to London on one of the "Children's Trains" when WW2 was beginning. Lucie and her brother reunited three years later. In England, she also met and married Jimmy Elenberg, and their family eventually moved to Chile where Lucie became a fashion model.
After building their lives in Chile, they immigrated to the United States, where Lucie ulimately found her happiness. She feels grateful to become a US Citizen. Her weekly leisure includes a glass of martini and wine.
Lucie's words: " I find myself lucky to have a home like San Carlos Elms. I like everyone and everything. Grateful for all the kindness shown to me."
Happy 100th Birthday Lucie and Welcome to the Centenarian Club!!!
We loved that Precious was here to add to Lucie's special day.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration Lucie!
Congratulations!!!
