San Carlos Elms Visits the San Carlos Museum

The Resident enjoyed an afternoon at the San Carlos Museum this weekend.
They even did a scavenger hunt.
 
Hershel was so happy to see the rich history of San Carlos.

 
Nellie loved looking at all early pictures of San Carlos.
 

Ray was taken back by all the Chicken's Ball memorabilia they had.

 
 
They all enjoyed the video of San Carlos History too.

 San Carlos Elms was excited and honored to be apart of the Peninsula Multifaith Coalition again this year.  We were worried how it was going to all pan out, but thanks to a fantastic group of leaders and volunteers it was a huge success!!! We started the morning with an opening ceremony on Zoom celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, featuring guest speakers Rep Jackie Speier , Senator Josh Becker ,and Rev Lorrie Owens  President of San Mateo NAACP . Once we all had our history lesson and the power of community through the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. it was time to get to work.  Cards were created for all of our residents and magazines were donated too. Volunteers created and donated beautiful bouquets of flowers.   They are out spreading cheer for both our Residents and Staff. Thank you Peninsula Multifaith Coalition , we hope we can meet in person next year, but what a wonderful job you all did!!!
